Beer Stein 2005: Oktoberfest
Stoneware, handpainted raised relief decoration. This stein features a traditional beerwagon being unloaded at an Oktoberfest celebration. City towers, flags and a ferris wheel can be seen in the background as well as a musician playing his tuba. Across the flared bottom it states, "Oktoberfest München." The handle of the stein is in the shape of a pretzel and an antiqued conical pewter lid completes the piece. Limited Edition of 5,000 pieces.

The raised relief, hand painted decoration features a Bavarian couple dancing with an Alpine scene behind them. On the sides of the stein are tributes and landmarks from Oberammergau, Ettal, Garmisch-partenkirchen, Muenchen, Neuschwanstein, and Linderhof. Beer Stein 2005: Bavarian Man
Stoneware, figural decoration. This lively sculpted and colored stein exemplifies the traditional Bavarian costume for men. Our patriotic main subject is holding a Bavarian flag with blue and white diamonds in his left hand and a stein in his right hand. On his chest is the Bavarian Crest with lions. Lederhosen with embroidered Edelweiss pattern completes the costume.

Beer Stein 2005: Black Forest
Stoneware, raised-relief handpainted decoration. The main subject is a cuckoo clock in raised-relief style, the symbol of this region of Germany. The word “Schwarzwald” meaning Black Forest appears at the base. A couple in typical Black Forest attire is seen on either side of the clock. The handle is in the shape of an old world clock peddler with a variety of his clocks for sale on a specially designed backpack. On top of the ornamental pewter lid is a pewter cuckoo clock.

Stoneware, 3-dimensional relief. This stein features a fantasy castle, complete with tall towers, castle gates, detailed masonry and cobblestone roads. An archway serves as the handle of the stein. The castle walls are decorated with sculpted lion heads & a knight in armor figurine. On top of the pewter lid are the handpainted full figural towers of the castle, made of stoneware. The thumblift is a separately cast detailed pewter griffin. Limited edition of 5,000 pieces. Each stein is individually numbered and registered.

Stoneware, raised-relief and applied decoration. A pewter relief three-panel mural of Seraphim angels wraps around the entire stein’s black glazed stoneware body. Three separately cast pewter angel heads with gold-leaf wings are applied along the stein’s flared base. On top of the ornate pewter lid is a pewter figurine of Michael the Archangel in full armor with gold highlighted wings, sword and shield. Handpainted gold-leaf bands complete the body decoration. Stoneware, raised-relief and applied decoration. A pewter relief five-panel mural of Leaders of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Crusades wraps around the entire stein's black glazed stoneware body. They are from left to right: 1) Count Bonifaz von Montgerrat--4th Crusade 1202-1204; 2) Emperor Friedrich I--3rd Crusade 1189-1192; 3) Duke Gottfried von Boullion--1st Crusade 1096-1099; 4) King Konrad III--2nd Crusade 1147-1149; and 5) Emperor Friedrich II--5th Crusade 1228-1229. On top of the ornate pewter lid is a pewter figurine of King Konrad III.

Beer Stein 2005: Gothic
The main subject panel of this majestic piece depicts the kingdom’s royal knight on horseback, assembling his troops together as they embark on a campaign. In the foreground are the foot soldiers with shields, swords, horns and banners. The knight son horseback are seen nearby the handle. Shields, helmets and arches complete the body decoration. Heraldic helmet plumage creates the thumblift. On top of the stein is a knight in full armor. The entire stein body is mounted on a filigree pedestal base. What makes this particular piece exceptional is the gold and copper hand painted areas that create a true symphony of metals. A limited edition of only 500 pieces! Beer Stein 2005: Jeweled Pewter
Pewter, raised relief. The top half of this stein features a stylized heart design wrapping around the entire body. The bottom half is decorated with a checkered pattern enhanced by a red stone at each vertex. A textured background reminiscent of tree bark sets off both patterns giving the finished piece an Old World look.

Beer Stein 2005: Iron Cross
A tribute to the Iron Cross Medal, this stein traverses history detailing each version of this honorable medal beginning with the first, created on March 20, 1813. In 1807, after Prussia's defeat, it was forced into subserviance to the French and was unable to break their bond with Napolean until, in 1812 when Napolean was retreating from Moscow, the Prussian army found an opportunity to change sides and allied themselves with Russia. Shortly after, a new medal, the Iron Cross, was created to commemorate the start of the war against Napolean. The silver print against the stein's black, stoneware body creates a stunning contrast. A pewter Iron Cross appears opposite the handle and a pewter German eagle is mounted on the lid. Limited edition of 5,000 pieces.

Porcelain, hand painted figural decoration. The 10th edition to the Man's Best Friend Series is the German Dachshund stein. A Bavarian theme is the setting in which a Dachshund is dressed in lederhosen and suspenders with hat and knapsack. He is seen outdoors in the BlackForest grilling a string of "wieners" and is smearing mustard onto one of them. In the foreground is a full stein of beer, a bottle of ketchup and pretzels. Behind the Dachshund is a jar of sauerkraut, onions; providing all of the necessary condiments. The handle is in the shape of a Black Forest evergreen tree. Limited edition of 5,000 pieces.

Porcelain, handpainted figural decoration. This is the third edition in the series entitled “Man’s Best Friend”. The German Shepherd is well known for its intelligence, loyalty and strength. On this occasion, the Bulldog is impeccably dressed as Winston Churchill complete with full suit, cravat, top hat, and pocket watch chain. His shirt sports the pattern of the British Flag. He is holding a lit cigar and next to him is the remainder of a carton of Churchill cigars. He is the perfect companion to the cigar smoker & historian, always enjoying the finer things in life. Beer Stein 2006: New York Commemorative
This spectacular stein is the second edition in the series honoring “The Famous Cities of the World”. Introduced prior to 9/11/01, a multitude of famous landmarks are accurately reproduced as a panorama: the Metropolitan Life Building (formerly the Pan-Am Building), the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, the CitiCorp Building, the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The Statue of Liberty is the handle. Her head, arm and torch are separately cast in fine pewter, and all serve as the thumblift. A hand painted miniature resin figurine of New York City, with the Statue of Liberty again present, is mounted on the pewter lid. This pear shaped, stoneware, raise relief, lively, multicolored, hand painted stein shows Santa on a stool near the fireplace talking with two small children. There are stars in the background and bells along the border. This detailed stein has stockings by the fireplace, and even a stein on the mantel. On the lid is a hand painted, figural, stoneware Christmas tree. This is a limited edition of 5,000 pieces.

Beer Stein 2006: Kuckuck Clock Stein
Two of the most famous symbols and souvenirs of German culture are cuckoo clocks and beer steins! This is the inspiration for Westerwald Team’s new Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Stein. This three-dimensional figural stein depicts the famous musical chalet style cuckoo clock. The skillful detail of the stoneware sculpt exactly replicates the wood surface of a cuckoo clock. Three pinecone style traditional weights with a swinging maple leaf pendulum appear beneath the clock. The pinecones are painted in an antique copper color. Actual chains are attached to these stoneware weights, further imitating the actual appearance of a cuckoo clock. What is not yet present in the sketch is a separately cast cuckoo bird above the dancers. A pewter cuckoo bird serves as the thumblift. Concealed pewter lid. This beautiful wildlife grotto beer stein was handcrafted in Germany by King.
This new stein has a pewter lid.
The handpainted relief shows deer on one side and a mountain goat on the other side.
The front of the stein shows an owl.

This beautiful beer stein was handcrafted in Germany by Zoeller & Born.
This attractive stein has a pewter lid. The handpainted relief shows scenes from Denmark including a drummer, the Danish flags, and a Viking ship. The stein also reads "Danmark", which is the German spelling for "Denmark".
This 1/2 liter stein is about 9" tall.
